The segment of three-row crossovers has become pretty crowded in the last several years but despite tough competition, the Palisade is still able to stand out. The last year’s refresh made it fresh enough to compete for a few more years, so we presume the current generation won’t be changed all that soon. Instead, the 2024 Hyundai Palisade should carry on in the same way, without more important changes.
We expect to see a familiar design, with familiar features. This SUV has a lot of great things to offer, starting from the luxurious and comfortable cabin. The list of standard and available equipment is also pretty long, while the ride is smooth and comfortable. Furthermore, the V6 engine feels competent, so there is actually no major thing to complain about.
Considering that no bigger changes are about to happen for the next year’s model, we presume it could hit the market sometime in the last quarter of 2023.
2024 Hyundai Palisade Design
In terms of the overall design, the 2024 Hyundai Palisade will be a typical carryover. Simply, the last year’s refresh brought a lot of changes, starting with the new styling. There is a completely new face, with a more prominent grille, new headlights and many more modifications. The new model looks fresh and bold, so we are pretty sure it can remain for a few more years.
In terms of mechanics, not many things changed since the initial launch. This SUV features a balanced chassis, with composed handling but with a focus on comfort. The ride is smooth, while the suspension setup is soft and absorbs road imperfections in such a nice way. As a trade-off, there is a bit of body lean in corners, but nothing significant.
Interior
The recent refresh didn’t bring significant changes in terms of interior design. The cabin layout is still there, with a great combination of elegant aesthetics and high-quality materials. The color schemes are attractive, while the attention to detail is pretty impressive, considering the asking price. The last year’s update also brought a new 12.3-inch infotainment screen, which is now part of the standard equipment.
Of course, the 2024 Hyundai Palisade will also continue with the same cabin layout. This SUV doesn’t just look nice from the inside, it is also characterized by a generous amount of space. It comes standard with three rows, with a seating capacity of 8 passengers. The first two rows are very generous with space, while the third row is typically tight for the segment, similar to rivals like Honda Pilot and Nissan Pathfinder. As for the cargo area, you may count on 18 cubic feet of room behind the third row, 45.8 cubic feet behind the second row and 86.4 cubic feet behind the first row. Those are above-average ratings for the segment.
Features
The next year’s model might bring a couple of novelties in this aspect but even if that happens, we presume changes will be minimal. Most things should remain the same as in the current model, which comes standard with tech goodies like a 12.3-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition, satellite radio, HD Radio, Bluetooth and five USB ports. The list of standard equipment also includes things like proximity keyless entry, remote start and push-button start.
The 2023 model years are available with features like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, wireless device charging, an in-car intercom, a 115-volt household-style power outlet and additional USB ports. You can also get a power sunroof, a dual-panel power sunroof, interior ambient LED lighting, the Hyundai Digital Key and dual-zone automatic climate control. We presume that a few of these options could become part of the standard equipment in 2024.
2024 Hyundai Palisade Engines
This aspect definitely won’t bring changes. We expect to see the same old 3.8-liter V6 engine, which puts out around 291 horsepower. The engine feels capable enough to move this large SUV with ease, while the 8-speed automatic transmission also feels smooth and refined. Base models feature front-wheel drive, while AWD variants are available.
The V6 offers solid performance and at the same time, fuel economy is quite decent. It goes around 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway with the FWD model. Of course, the AWD model is slightly thirstier and returns around 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.
2024 Hyundai Palisade Release Date and Price
With no bigger changes to come, there is no reason to expect the 2024 Hyundai Palisade’s arrival earlier than usual. We believe it will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year, with a starting price of around 37.000 dollars.
