The Telluride has been around for a while. After a great reception, it started to make some pretty good sales numbers. However, the competition is getting tougher every year and in order to retain a good position on the market, and possibly improve it, the Korean manufacturer will bring some updates for the next year. The officials are still quiet, but we can hear a lot of rumors that suggest a mid-cycle refresh. The 2023 Kia Telluride should come with all kinds of updates, but we presume that most of them will be in terms of styling.
As we’ve just mentioned, the officials are still quiet about this refresh. Still, whether these updates come or not, the overall layout will remain the same. We are about to see familiar design characteristics, starting from lots of great things we like about this SUV. This particularly refers to things like an upscale cabin, plenty of passenger room, comfortable ride etc.
We presume that the 2023 Kia Telluride will hit the market sometime in the second half of 2022.
2023 Kia Telluride Design
The 2023 Kia Telluride is expected to receive a mid-cycle refresh. while the officials are still quiet about these updates, we can already find some pretty nice rendering photos on the network. From what we can see on them, it looks like the 2023 Kia Telluride refresh would bring subtle changes only. This particularly refers to the front end, where we would see a new front end, to parts like the grille, front bumper, internal headlights design and similar things. The rear end could come with a couple of revisions as well.
Still, the overall layout will certainly remain the same. The mechanics won’t change at all, which means that you may count of familiar ride quality. This SUV is smooth and comfortable, while the maneuverability is also at a pretty high level, despite pretty impressive dimensions.
Interior
The 2023 Kia Telluride interior could also bring some interesting updates too. At this point, it’s early to talk about details, but if we consider that the overall interior quality is at a pretty impressive level, it’s pretty much for sure that the only changes that could happen are the subtle ones. One of the changes could be a new geat shifter, which would replace the traditional gear lever. We could also see a new digital instrument cluster, along with other tech goodies.
Still, the overall cabin design will remain the same. This means that you may count on the same seating configuration, which offers up to eight seats. What we like about this SUV is that there is plenty of passenger room. The first two rows are pretty generous, while the third row is also quite functional. The cargo area also offers respectable numbers – 21 cubic feet of space behind the third row, 46 cubic feet behind the second and 87 cubic feet of the total cargo volume.
Features
Of course, novelties in this aspect are expected too. The 2023 Kia Telluride will come with more standard equipment, though we have to say that the current model is already pretty generous in this aspect. it comes standard with a 10.25-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, satellite radio, navigation, Bluetooth, voice recognition, a six-speaker stereo, and six USB ports, as well as with dual-zone climate control, remote start etc.
We presume that some of the features that are currently optional will become standard. Some of the potential candidates are goodies like wireless charging, a rear-seat entertainment system, a 10-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound stereo, a household-style power outlet, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal garage door opener, 64-color ambient interior lighting, a sunroof, and a dual-pane sunroof.
2023 Kia Telluride Engine
Things under the hood definitely won’t change. The 2023 Telluride will continue with the same 3.8-liter V6 engine, which puts out around 291 horsepower and 257 pound-feet of torque. That’s plenty enough power to move this large SUV with authority. Driving dynamics are pretty good, while the 8-speed automatic transmission also does a pretty good job – it is smooth and refined, while shifts are usually on time.
When it comes to fuel economy, you may count on average ratings for the class. In numbers, that would be around 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. Of course, models with all-wheel drive are slightly thirstier.
2023 Kia Telluride Release Date and Price
We expect that the 2023 Kia Telluride will hit the market sometime in the second half of 2022. Base models should cost around 34.000 dollars, while the key competitors will be models like Chevy Traverse, VW Atlas, Honda Pilot etc.
