When Hyundai decided to go into the luxury world with the new Genesis brand, many were skeptical. But, the instant success of the GV80 SUV made the company push even harder. Now we have a few more models. The 2025 Genesis GV80 is still going to impress even though the next-gen model is probably coming out in 2026 or 2027.

Highlights of the freshly updated SUV are styling, safety and performance. The interior is cozy and elegant. It looks like Hyundai and Genesis have been in this business for ages. Under the hood is a turbo-four as the base mill and a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 as the best option if you are looking for impressive performance. The cherry on top of the cake is a coupe SUV. A hybrid configuration might be a cool option for those who want to save some fuel. In the future, the GV80 will follow in the footsteps of its siblings (GV90) and become an EV.

Coupe is a cool-looking SUV

Why Buy 2025 Genesis GV80?

Styling is unique and definitely the thing that draws the most attention. The exterior design is flawless – it is aerodynamic and cool-looking. Large wheels boost the aggressive appearance. The color selection is also pretty nice. Things are getting better inside the 2025 Genesis GV80. The cabin is spacious. The three-row layout is standard, but you can opt for a high-end package with five seats. Materials used for upholstery, seats, and all other parts are upscale. The SUV offers quilted leather and multiple colors.

The GV80 is not trying to impress drivers with crunchy acceleration and massive outputs. It drives nice even with a turbo-four engine. With a V6, things are getting way better. However, it is still not at the same level as some German luxury SUVs of the same class. The cabin comfort, including noise cancelation, is the highlight here.

Interior comfort and luxury is the top reason why you should consider buying the 2025 Genesis GV80

What Can Be Better?

The infotainment system is up to date, but that is also what some drivers don’t like – there are too many options. Learning how everything works is a long and stressful process. Usually, many options are unused. The company should make it more simple. It could be solved on the 2025 Genesis GV80, if the next-gen info-entertaining system debuts.

Noise cancelation is excellent, but a loud four-pot engine can be annoying, especially if the driving is not boosting adrenaline. Also, compared to other mid-size SUVs using a turbo-four – Genesis is louder than most. The ride becomes even stiffer if you boost the appearance with large wheels. 21-inches are the worst, believe us.

2025 Genesis GV80 Pricing

The premium mid-size three-row SUV comes with a price tag similar to other vehicles from the same class. $58,000 is not too much, but if you want a V6, then be ready to pay about $9,000 more. There are several optional features available for upgrade. The ultimate trim level is Prestige Signature. A unique set of features will make the price skyrocket. The new 2025 YM is coming without big changes. A hybrid unit could debut, but we don’t have enough info to talk about it. The coupe is still a concept vehicle, but besides a more aggressive appearance, it will carry over everything from the classic SUV.
