The heavily camouflaged vehicle is hiding details, which means Honda wants to keep details until the launch.
The hybrid drivetrain is the main upgrade for the new minivan. Toyota uses only hybrid units for the Sienna, while the Chrysler Pacifica is also using a similar configuration. A gas mileage boost will increase the interest among potential buyers. The fresh styling is there to draw attention. The redesign also brings more options and features, and improves comfort and safety, and the company is going to add an AWD as an optional upgrade.
Under the Hood
A 3.5-liter V6 remains the main source of power for the 2025 Honda Odyssey. It is also a more affordable than the upcoming hybrid. Nevertheless, the battery-enhanced setup will return investment with every mile you cover and take advantage of a better fuel economy. A V6 is returning 22 mpg combined, which is not so great result. A front-wheel drive was the only option, and AWD is being added for the 2025 YM. A nine-speed gearbox works smoothly.
2025 Honda Odyssey Hybrid
The Japanese company is a bit late with jumping on the bandwagon. Not only the MPV but also SUVs are suffering from missing the hybrid configuration. A 3.0-liter V6 served as the main power source for the Acura MDX. It can be back with improved specs. Before the discontinuation, it could deliver 320 hp and 26 mpg combined. This is already better than the naturally aspirated V6 has to offer. Another hybrid is there for the compact CR-V. Still, the Odyssey needs way more than 205 hp. With a twin-turbo system, it can be a similar drivetrain to Toyota’s hybrid for Sienna and a few other vehicles.
2025 Honda Odyssey Redesign and Spy Shots
The minivan is finally being redesigned. The all-new 2025 Honda Odyssey will enter the sixth generation. That means a lot of changes, outside and inside. We can also check some of the latest releases to compare the MPV to those vehicles. For example, the Odyssey could be similar to the Passport SUV. When Will New 2025 Honda Odyssey Be Available?
The minivan is on the streets, which means the development is in the final stages. Heavy camo is hiding details which are new. Honda doesn’t want to unveil too much before the premiere. So, we can expect the debut of the 2025 Honda Odyssey as soon as we enter 2024. The sales will start by mid-2024 with updated pricing.
The new 2025 Honda Odyssey won’t cost under $40,000, but the base price heavily depends on the changes under the hood. If the company drops petrol configurations and offers only a hybrid system, the MSRP will be even higher. Trim levels are somehow standard. EX, EX-L, Sport, Elite and Touring is the current lineup. We can see very similar squads for Pilot and Passport SUVs. The minivan is not getting the Trailsport off-road package. The Elite model packs the most features, such as a wireless charging pad, hands-free tailgate, 360-camera, ventilated seats… The high-end model is expected to cost $55,000.
