The new generation of Lincoln’s mid-size SUV is here, full of interesting changes. After years of waiting, this nameplate finally got an update and the new generation brings novelties in all aspects. Of course, there is the new styling, along with the completely new cabin design, full of impressive tech features. There is also a new hybrid powertrain, which replaces to highly capable twin-turbo V6. All in all, the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus will have a lot of trump cards to become successful.
Another significant change worth mentioning is the platform. Unlike the previous generation, which was based on the good-old CD4 architecture, the new model is, interestingly, a C2-based vehicle. Still, the company promises an improved driving experience, while the new model is also bigger than its predecessor.
2024 Lincoln Nautilus Design
As we’ve just mentioned, the new generation comes with lots of changes. One of the most important ones is the new platform. It brings interesting change, as the new model is based on a C2 architecture. So far, this platform has predominately been used for compact vehicles, such as Ford Escape or Lincoln Corsair, but now it underpins the mid-size Nautilus as well. Despite that, the new generation is actually larger than its predecessor. It features a 2-inch longer wheelbase and now measures respectable 114.2 inches between the axles.
Besides the new platform, the new 2024 Lincoln Nautilus also utilizes new styling. Changes are pretty big compared to the previous generation. While the overall shape and proportions remain similar, there is a completely new front-end design. Compared to the previous model, the new one looks more aggressive, with sharper lines and more angular design solutions. The rear end is also completely new, highlighted by a massive lighting strip that spreads from one to another end of the vehicle.
Interior
This is probably the most impressive aspect of the new generation when we compare it to the previous model. The first thing you’ll notice is the huge presence of tech features, starting from the massive screen that spreads from one end of the dashboard to another. However, it looks like Lincoln designers didn’t think that’s enough of a screen, so they installed another one on the center stack, which is responsible for the infotainment screen.
Other than the tech features, you will notice a high-quality interior, full of elegant lines. The center console also looks pretty impressive, while the whole cabin is full of quality materials. The attention to detail is also at a pretty high level, while the stretched wheelbase provides more legroom, especially in the second row. The front seats are massive and supportive, while the driving position is very good. The second row accommodates three adults with ease.
Features
As for the features, the aforementioned screens are by far the most notable. The massive screen that spreads across the dashboard is good for about 48 inches, while the infotainment screen on the center stack is good for about 11.1 inches. The list of standard tech features also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as wireless charging, voice commands etc.
Base models also come standard with goodies like a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated seat, 10-way power-adjustable front seats and keyless entry. Higher trim levels also offer a 24-way power-adjustable driver seat, as well as a premium 28-speaker audio system.
As for the safety features, the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus offers everything you would expect from a modern SUV. Things like automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control with lane centering are part of the standard equipment.

As for the powertrain, the new generation also comes with two variants on offer. The engine comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and the whole system feels competent, smooth and refined. Also, you may count on pretty good fuel economy that goes around 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.
The high-performance version with a twin-turbo V6 is not available anymore. Instead, the company introduced a new hybrid system, based on a turbo-four engine. The combined output goes around 310 horsepower and the powertrain comes coupled with a CVT gearbox. As for the fuel economy, the company claims 37 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.
2024 Lincoln Nautilus Release Date and Price
From what we know so far, the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus will hit the market sometime in the first quarter of 2024. As for the price, the officials already announced that base versions are about to cost around 52.000 dollars. Of course, the competition remains the same, a class where some of the key players are models like the BMW X5, Genesis GV80 etc.
